Wearing Every Hat: The Reality of Running a Business & Being a Full-Time Mom
Running a business isn’t just about selling products—it’s about being everything at once. At Everbloom, I wear all the hats: the cameraman, social media manager, video editor, fulfillment worker, and most importantly, a full-time mom. It’s a never-ending cycle of learning, adapting, and pushing forward.
The Do-It-All Role
When you run a small business, there’s no such thing as a single job title. One moment, I’m behind the camera, capturing the perfect shot for social media. The next, I’m knee-deep in editing, making sure every post reflects our brand’s story. Then, it’s time to pack orders, handle customer inquiries, and plan our next big move.
None of these skills came naturally—I had to learn everything from scratch. From mastering photography angles to understanding social media algorithms, every day has been a lesson in something new.
Balancing Business & Motherhood
The hardest part? Doing all of this while being a mom. Motherhood is already a full-time job, and adding a business on top of that makes for some seriously long days. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Seeing my kids watch and learn from this journey makes every challenge worthwhile.
The Power of Family & Passion
If it weren’t for my amazing family, I might have felt overwhelmed. But with their support, I’ve never felt burnt out. My husband always says, “You will never work a day in your life if you love what you do.” And that mindset has been my driving force. No matter how tough it gets, my passion keeps me going.
Gratitude & The Best Reward
At the end of the day, the best reward isn’t just sales—it’s the incredible feedback from customers. Hearing how our candles and diffusers bring warmth and joy to someone’s home reminds me why I started this journey.
I know I’m not alone in this. So many people out there—especially fellow moms and small business owners—can relate to this do-it-all lifestyle. It’s tough, it’s exhausting, but it’s also incredibly fulfilling.
To everyone out there balancing it all—you’re doing amazing. Keep going. ?
